1.1 A silo top dust collector is installed at the silo vent to filter dust-laden displacement air generated during material filling.

1.2 When bulk material enters a closed silo, displaced air must leave the vessel through the venting system. This air can carry a substantial concentration of fine dust.

1.3 Filter bags capture the dust while allowing filtered air to leave the silo. Pulse-jet cleaning releases accumulated dust from the filter surface so that it returns to the silo.

1.4 Typical applications include suitable dry dust from cement, mining, metallurgy, building materials, machinery, chemical processing and grain handling.

1.5 The silo top collector is intended for appropriate dry, non-fibrous particulate. Dust properties, filling rate, displaced-air volume, temperature, moisture and combustible-dust hazards must be reviewed before equipment selection.

1.6 In one EHDLMV configuration, the filter bags extend into the silo while the compact upper housing remains above the roof. Access and maintenance arrangements must be coordinated with the silo structure and site safety requirements.

1.7 An external-filter configuration can also be supplied with a lower housing enclosing the filter bags and a flanged connection sealing the collector to the silo roof.

1.8 Equipment dimensions and connection arrangements can be adapted according to confirmed filling rate, airflow, silo layout, site space and customer drawings. The collector does not replace required silo pressure protection, explosion protection or other project-specific safety systems.
