Self-contained downdraft tables

EHDT dry downdraft benches use two or four filter cartridges. The EHWD-V wet downdraft table combines a work surface with a wet dust collector.

2 filter cartridges

For compact work areas

1,200 / 1,500 mm

Length of the active dust-extraction surface. Corresponding overall tabletop lengths are 1,700 / 2,000 mm. Work surface depth and working height can be customized.

4 filter cartridges

For longer work surfaces

3 m / 4 m

Typical work surface lengths for tables with side and rear panels. The active extraction area, overall dimensions and fan configuration are confirmed on the project drawing. Open-sided versions are also available.

The EHDT-2 model suffix indicates the length of the active dust-extraction surface. All EHDT filter cartridges measure Ø352 × 660 mm (diameter × length) and are mounted horizontally, with compressed-air pulse-jet cleaning. Fan motor power alone does not determine airflow. The 2 × 2.2 kW option uses two fan motors, each rated at 2.2 kW.

The active dust-extraction surface length is different from the overall tabletop length. Work surface depth, working height, airflow and motor power are confirmed for each project. Tables with four filter cartridges and enclosure panels commonly use 3 m or 4 m layouts; final dimensions depend on the selected design. EHWD-V wet downdraft tables have a separate model range.

Inside the dry downdraft table

The work surface, horizontally mounted filter cartridges, extraction fan and dust collection drawers form one integrated unit.

Capture at the work surface

Air is drawn down through the perforated or grated work surface. Rear-panel extraction can be combined with downdraft extraction through the tabletop.

Horizontal filter cartridges

The dust collection section uses horizontally mounted filter cartridges in a downflow arrangement. Compressed-air pulse-jet cleaning dislodges accumulated dust from the filter surfaces, allowing it to fall into the collection drawers below.

Practical service access

Side access covers provide access to the filter cartridges for inspection and replacement. To empty the dust collection drawers, remove the retaining nuts, slide out the drawers and dispose of the collected dust.

A workbench that fits the job

Specify the usable work surface length and depth, working height and enclosure panels to suit the parts being handled.

Work surface height can be specified to suit the operator and working posture. Optional casters provide mobility; leveling feet allow the table to be leveled and supported on the floor.

Choose the details that matter

Configure the dry downdraft table to suit your process. Options for EHWD-V wet downdraft tables are specified separately.

HEPA final filtration

Optional HEPA final filtration can be added downstream of the filter cartridges when required by the application.

Fume extraction arm

An optional extraction arm can be fitted for localized welding fume capture, subject to the selected fan and filtration configuration.

Tools & work surface

The work surface can be configured with mounting provisions for a bench grinder or other process equipment.

Lighting & power outlets

Specify the quantity and position of task lights and electrical outlets.

Fan & acoustic enclosure

Select the extraction fan configuration and, where required, an acoustic enclosure to suit the application.

Materials & base supports

Choose carbon steel, grade 304 stainless steel or grade 316 stainless steel, with optional casters or leveling feet.

Ducted downdraft and backdraft tables

Non-powered downdraft and backdraft tables have no built-in fan and connect to an external extraction system. Layouts are customized for the workpiece, process and operators; some designs include built-in filter cartridges.

Configured for the job. Work surface length, depth and height, enclosure panels, material, extraction openings and duct connections are specified for each project. Carbon steel, grade 304 or 316 stainless steel and PVC work surfaces serve different requirements. Select materials and the extraction system to suit the actual dust and chemical conditions.

03

Central dust collection for multiple worktables

The ducted worktables in Section 02 are commonly arranged in production lines and connected to one central dust collection system. Modular or large-capacity collectors provide the higher airflow required by multiple workstations, with the fan and ductwork sized for the stations operating together.
