Flexible Fume
Extraction Arms

Position the capture hood where the work happens. Explore flexible and articulated extraction arms for welding stations, mobile extractors and centralized fume collection systems.

  • Ø160 mm and Ø200 mm duct options
  • Arm lengths from 1.5 to 5 m by configuration
  • Extension-boom arrangements from 4 to 9 m
  • Wall, column and equipment mounting

Two Arm Construction Styles

Choose the duct and support arrangement to suit your workstation. Both styles let the operator reposition the hood as the welding location changes; length, mounting and optional accessories are selected separately.

FLEXIBLE HOSE CONSTRUCTION

Full-Hose Extraction Arms

A flexible hose follows the supported arm from the mounting connection to the capture hood. The handle helps the operator adjust the hood position at the workstation.

  • Flexible duct along the arm
  • Adjustable capture hood with handle
  • Hood lighting available by configuration

METAL DUCT & FLEXIBLE JOINTS

Articulated Extraction Arms

Rigid metal duct sections connect through flexible hose joints. The external linkage and spring arrangement supports repositioning of the arm and hood.

Lengths, Diameters & Working Space

Start with the distance from the mounting point to the work area, then choose the arm arrangement and duct diameter. The range below groups the standard configurations by reach and installation space.

Fume extraction arm range
ConfigurationNominal lengthDuct diameterSelection focus
Compact arm1.5 mØ160 / Ø200 mmSmall work booths, benchwork and restricted overhead space
Standard arm2 m / 3 mØ160 / Ø200 mmIndividual welding stations and equipment-mounted arrangements
Horizontal-reach arm4 m / 5 mØ160 / Ø200 mmWider working areas and low-ceiling installations
Extension boom + arm4–9 m combinedØ160 / Ø200 mmLarger workpieces and work areas away from the mounting point

Confirm usable reach before ordering. Nominal arm length is not the same as unobstructed working radius in every position. Send the mounting height and workstation dimensions so the arrangement, clearances and final connection details can be checked.

03

Mounting Options & Extended Reach

Match the support to the workshop layout. A wall or column provides a fixed mounting point; a horizontal extension boom moves the arm connection farther into the working area.

Extension Boom + Flexible Arm

The horizontal support and flexible arm work together to serve a wider area while keeping the hood adjustable near the workpiece.

Plan the Combined Length

Extended configurations combine a support boom with a flexible arm. Examples from the range include:

  • 4 m: 2 m boom + 2 m arm
  • 6 m: 3 m boom + 3 m arm
  • 9 m: 4 m boom + 5 m arm

Check the Mounting Position

Provide the column or wall position, mounting height and any nearby equipment. Allow room for arm movement, workpiece handling and access to the hood.

For an existing installation, include photos of the bracket, flange and available supporting structure.

Wall or Column Mount

A fixed bracket supports the arm beside the work area and connects it to the extraction ductwork.

Equipment Mount

An arm connects to a mobile or fixed extractor. Confirm the mounting flange, arm orientation and available airflow.

Overhead Layout

Arrange the mounting bracket and duct connection above the work area where floor space or bench access is limited.

04

Connect to a Complete Extraction System

The arm captures and conveys the fumes. Suction comes from the connected fan, while the collector provides the required filtration.

MULTIPLE WORKSTATIONS

Centralized Welding Fume Extraction

Individual arms connect to branch ducts and a shared collector. Select the system for the stations operating at the same time, with airflow distribution checked across the branches.

Mobile Welding Fume Extractors

A cabinet-mounted arm works with the extractor’s fan and filters. Replacement or alternative arms require a check of the mounting connection, available airflow and equipment stability.

Choose an Arm for Your Workstation

These four details help us quote a suitable arm for a new project or review a replacement for existing equipment.

Reach & Mounting Height

Measure from the proposed mounting point to the working positions. Include the workpiece size and any obstructions.

Diameter & Available Airflow

Specify Ø160 or Ø200 mm and provide the fan or collector data. Arm length, bends and connected ductwork affect the airflow delivered to the hood.

Connection & Support

Send the flange size, bolt pattern, connection orientation and photos. This is particularly useful when replacing another arm.

Process & Required Options

Describe the welding process, operating conditions and quantity. Indicate whether you need a hood light, a particular finish or OEM supply.

Replacing an arm? A matching duct diameter alone does not confirm compatibility. The mounting interface, reach and available airflow also need to match the installation.

Arm Supply, Replacement & OEM Inquiries

Request individual extraction arms, replacement arms or arms supplied with 7US welding fume extraction equipment. Tell us the required quantity and installation details so the quotation can define the configuration and included parts.

For distributors and equipment builders, discuss the required color, branding and mounting interface as part of the OEM specification.

Does an extraction arm include a fan and filter?

The arm positions the capture hood and carries the extracted air. A fan provides suction, and a suitable collector handles filtration. Fan and collector supply must be specified separately in the quotation.

Can an arm connect to a centralized welding fume system?

Yes. Wall- or column-mounted arms can connect to branch ducts serving a shared collector. Selection should account for the stations operating at the same time, duct resistance and available airflow at each arm.

Can you supply a replacement arm for an existing extractor?

Send the existing arm dimensions, mounting flange or bolt pattern, duct diameter and photos of the connection. We review the mounting direction, required reach and airflow before confirming a replacement.

What is the difference between a standard arm and an extension-boom arrangement?

A standard arm works directly from its mounting point. An extension-boom arrangement combines a horizontal support boom with a flexible arm to cover a larger working area. Combined lengths in the range table refer to the boom and arm together.

What information is needed for a quotation?

Please send the quantity, required reach, duct diameter, mounting method, welding process and available fan or collector information. For replacement arms, include photos and connection dimensions; tell us if a hood light or a particular color is required.

Images show representative product and application configurations. The quotation defines the supplied arm, mounting parts and optional accessories.
