Flat bag dust collectors can be suitable for tobacco processing applications, particularly where fibrous dust requires good dust release and effective pulse cleaning. 3. High-vacuum dust collection systems can be used for localized cleaning and the collection of settled or scattered dust, depending on the plant layout and operating requirements. 4. Cartridge dust collectors may also be used in suitable tobacco applications, but filter media and pleat geometry should be selected carefully because fibrous dust can accumulate between pleats and affect cleaning performance. 5.
