Tobacco Processing 1. Tobacco processing can generate lightweight fibrous dust and fine organic particles during conveying, cutting, blending and other production processes. Effective dust collection helps control airborne dust and workplace accumulation. 2. Flat bag dust collectors can be suitable for tobacco processing applications, particularly where fibrous dust requires good dust release and effective pulse cleaning. 3. High-vacuum dust collection systems can be used for localized cleaning and the collection of settled or scattered dust, depending on the plant layout and operating requirements. 4. Cartridge dust collectors may also be used in suitable tobacco applications, but filter media and pleat geometry should be selected carefully because fibrous dust can accumulate between pleats and affect cleaning performance. 5. PTFE membrane filter media can provide a smooth filtration surface and improved dust release. The required filtration efficiency and emission level should be determined according to the dust characteristics, process conditions and applicable requirements.
