Open-front grinding booth
A fixed canopy and side enclosure define the work area. Rear extraction modules collect process dust, while acoustic curtains help reduce noise spread into the workshop.
Fixed enclosure exampleModular grinding booths and dust collection workstations for grinding, sanding and finishing. Combine 4- or 6-cartridge modules to match the required working width, with fixed or retractable enclosures.
Start with an EHGB-4 or EHGB-6 filter module. Arrange modules side by side to create the extraction wall and working width required by the workpiece and process.
Both modules use horizontally mounted Ø324 × 660 mm filter cartridges. The integrated fan serves the filtration module.
| Model | Cartridges | Arrangement | Motor power | Airflow |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| EHGB-4 | 4 | 2 levels × 2 | 4 kW | 4,000 m³/h |
| EHGB-6 | 6 | 3 levels × 2 | 5.5 kW | 6,000 m³/h |
Values shown are per module. Final module count and operating airflow are selected for the booth opening, process and system resistance.
A wide grinding area is formed by combining individual collection modules. The enclosure layout follows the workpiece size, operating positions and handling method.
Fixed open-front booths suit regular work areas. Retractable enclosures provide access for large parts and overhead-crane handling. An enclosed air-recirculation layout can be developed for specific projects.

Fixed enclosure exampleExtend the enclosure for grinding and retract it for part handling. Opening the enclosure makes it easier to position large workpieces using an overhead crane.
Illustrative arrangementAn enclosed grinding room with a dedicated air-recirculation path and final filtration. The recirculation and discharge arrangement is assessed against the process and filtration requirements.
Concept schematicThe retractable room addresses a practical problem: large parts need room to enter, turn and be lifted into position.
The fan draws dust-laden air from the work area into the filter module. Horizontal cartridges separate the dust, and filtered air passes through the clean-air chamber toward the outlet.

Air moves toward the module inlets. Module positions and enclosure geometry are arranged around the grinding process.
Dust is retained by the filter media. The cartridge layout uses two cartridges per level in the EHGB-4 and EHGB-6 modules.
The clean-air chamber leads to the integrated fan and outlet. Top-mounted HEPA final filtration can be added where the project requires it. Where suitable for the process, HEPA-filtered air may be returned to the grinding booth through ceiling-mounted supply outlets behind the operator.
Other collection configurations: Vertical-cartridge and wet-collection workstation designs can be developed to suit project requirements. The equipment examples on this page show horizontal-cartridge configurations.
The examples shown are only part of the available design scope. Send a photo or sketch, the material and grinding process, workpiece dimensions and the required working area. We can develop a suitable module combination and enclosure layout.
